What’s so special about it? Well around this time last year, give or take a few days, I quit my job. It’s not a decision I have ever regretted.
That said I thought that by the beginning of this year,I would have found another[read better] job and my life would be back on track, and that the people I was working for would have paid for the last three months I had worked for them. Neither has happened.
So if I was to take a lesson from this it would be
-
Get your head out the clouds!!
-
Make a plan
-
Grow Up!
Don’t judge me. You know you’ve also had dreams and [mostly] fantasies of being rich and secure soon after college. I mean you hear of all these people who’ve made it young, those who completed college and those who didn’t and thought that if they could do it then why not me, right?? ha!
Well, they say experience is the best teacher, right? If somebody tried to convince two years ago that I would be where I am right now, I would have laughed in their face! As I said in an earlier post, life doesn’t always work out the way we want it but it always works out. I mean my life could be better,it’s just that its taken a different route from the one I expected.
I’ve realized that my desires haven’t changed, but if there’s anything I’ve learned it’s that I can’t get everything I want right now
and definitely not when I want but I have to keep a focus of what I would like to be in my mid twenties, thirties, forties blah blah blah…. As much as everything may not go my way[at all], I think it’d be foolish to just go through life like a zombie[as I have so far]I think this is a another post all together…
- You’re gonna get there gal , in time. No need to throw them tantrums.
- You’re not gettin any younger, better get started
- …well that’s all I got!
